At LS.Topaz, every ingredient has a purpose. We thoughtfully select botanical oils, nourishing butters, and plant-derived extracts for their contribution to healthy, beautifully cared-for skin.

Equally important is what we leave out. We are intentional about avoiding undesirable ingredients and unnecessary additives, choosing formulations that reflect our commitment to thoughtful skincare.

Preservation is an important part of thoughtful skincare. Our approach depends on the nature of each formulation.

Our oil-based products contain no water and therefore do not require a conventional preservative. We incorporate antioxidants to help protect the oils from oxidation and maintain their quality over time.

Water-containing formulations, including our Botanical Facial Moisturizer and Eye Gel, use a COSMOS-approved preservative to help protect against microbial contamination and maintain product safety. COSMOS is an internationally recognized standard for natural and organic cosmetics, with approved ingredients evaluated for use within its framework.

While individual ingredients naturally age at different rates, our general guideline is a shelf life of approximately one year when products are stored at room temperature, away from direct sunlight. To preserve their quality, keep containers tightly closed and avoid introducing moisture or contaminants by using clean, dry hands.

We believe thoughtful skincare should extend beyond the skin. LS.Topaz products are never tested on animals.

Many of our formulations are vegan, though not all. Some creations incorporate thoughtfully selected animal-derived ingredients, such as donkey milk in our Latte Cleansing Bar.

Transparency is central to our philosophy. Every product page includes a complete ingredient list, and when a product is vegan, we clearly identify it on that product’s individual page so you can shop with confidence. We believe informed choices are part of a thoughtful skincare ritual, and we’re always happy to answer questions about our formulations.

For us, sustainable starts with what goes into each bottle. We formulate without palm oil, since palm production is a major driver of deforestation and habitat loss. Every ingredient we use is either botanical or botanical-identical (nature-identical): the same molecule found in the plant, made in a lab. Nature-identical ingredients can often be gentler on the planet, because pure plant extraction can take large amounts of land, water and plant material. Our "sustainable" means palm-free formulas made with botanical and nature-identical ingredients.
